Description / Abstract: Acne management requires a multifaceted approach. While well understood, acne pathogenesis is multifactorial and the clinical presentation and management approaches can have significant heterogeneity, particularly across patients with different bio ancestral backgrounds. It is imperative that pharmacists, in light of their change in scope of practice to include acne management, be aware of their role. Continuing professional education programs aimed at providing pharmacists with additional tools to aid in patient education and management is valuable and timely. This continuing medical education program will provide pharmacists with a practical review of acne management within their scope of practice.
