- Description / Abstract
- Migraine is far more than just a bad headache. It's a complex neurological condition with a wide range of symptoms that can vary significantly between individuals. Furthermore, the unpredictable nature of migraine attacks can lead to significant disruptions in daily life, impacting work, family and social engagements. Additionally, migraine can have substantial comorbidities such as anxiety, depression and chronic pain that further reduce someone’s quality of life. Moreover, there is significant social stigma associated with migraine and misconceptions can lead to feelings of isolation, shame and a reluctance to seek appropriate medical care. Effective migraine management requires a collaborative approach and pharmacy technicians are a vital link in this collaborative care model.
