- Description / Abstract
- Acne and photosensitivity are common dermatological concerns. Despite the growing prevalence of adjunctive care in dermatology, many pharmacists lack updated knowledge and skills to effectively recommend and educate patients on the use of adjunctive non-prescription products. Given the complexities of acne pathophysiology and treatment-related side effects, it is crucial to understand the role of adjunctive therapies in improving patient outcomes. Continuing professional education programs aimed at providing pharmacists with additional tools to aid in patient education and management is valuable and timely.
