- Description / Abstract
- Like other chronic diseases, obesity is associated with a significantly increased risk of many different comorbid conditions (e.g. cardiovascular disease, type 2 diabetes, mental illness, cancer) but also a higher mortality risk. It is estimated that 1 in 10 premature deaths of Canadians aged 20-64 years is attributable to obesity. This program is designed to provide you with a practical approach to address obesity in pharmacy practice, with a focus on the latest evidence of approved therapies in Canada.
