- The Education Program for Immunization Competencies (EPIC) is an online education program that covers all aspects of safe, effective immunization practice and delivery. It provides a theoretical and practical lead-in to injection training, preparing health care providers to: • Prepare and administer immunization agents correctly • Manage adverse events following immunization • Communicate about disease risks and the success of vaccine interventions • Understand and explain the vaccine development and approval process • Answer common questions about vaccine components • Identify and address barriers to immunization uptake
