- Description / Abstract
- In response to the recent introduction of 15-valent and 20-valent pneumococcal conjugate vaccines in Canada, the National Advisory Committee on Immunization (NACI) published a statement on their recommended use within public health programs. Following a review of pneumococcal disease and the available vaccine options, this program will use an interactive case-based approach to prepare pharmacists to identify patients eligible for vaccination and recommend the most appropriate vaccine for protection against pneumonia and invasive pneumococcal disease.
