Description / Abstract
Seborrheic dermatitis (SD) is a chronic, relapsing skin condition that affects various age groups, leading to symptoms such as erythema, scaling, and pruritus, often impacting the scalp, face, and upper body. Despite being common, effective management of SD remains challenging for healthcare professionals due to its multifactorial etiology involving microbial imbalance, immune response, and environmental triggers. Canadian pharmacists need up-to-date knowledge on identifying, diagnosing, and treating SD using both pharmacological and non-pharmacological approaches to improve patient outcomes. This continuing medical education program will provide pharmacists with comprehensive insights into the pathophysiology, diagnosis, and management of SD, emphasizing treatment options and ingredients.
